Academic Year 2018-19

We are now taking applications for the 2018-19 Academic Year! If you will be a full-time postgraduate student, and you are interested in living in our community between September 2018 and September 2019, please apply via the link below. You will need to register a StarRez account and then go to "Applications/Pay Booking Fee" to begin the application process.


Continuation of Residence 2018-19

Current residents wishing to extend their contract into the Academic Year 2018-19 can apply for continuation via the Continuation of Residence form available (please log in and click on "Applications/Pay Booking Fee").

How to reach us

From Heathrow Airport Take the Piccadilly Line of the London underground eastbound from the airport and get off at King’s Cross/St Pancras or Russell Square. From there it is a five minute walk. Alternatively, take the high speed Heathrow Express train (more expensive) to Paddington Station. From there, take either the Circle line or Hammersmith & City line of the London underground eastbound to King’s Cross/St Pancras or get a taxi direct to the Centre.

From Gatwick Airport Take the First Capital Connect train to St Pancras International station (a five minute walk from the Centre). You may also take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria station. From Victoria take the Victoria line of the London Underground northbound to King’s Cross/St Pancras.

From Luton Airport Take the First Capital Connect train to St Pancras International station (a five minute walk from the Centre).

From Stansted Airport Take the Stansted Express train to Tottenham Hale station. From there take the Victoria Line of the London Underground southbound to King’s Cross/St Pancras. Alternatively you may take Stanstead CityLink coach number 767 to St Pancras International station, stop S (a five minute walk from the Centre).

By Taxi Taxis are more expensive than other forms of transport. You are advised to take a black cab which is properly licensed and safe to use. Ask the driver to take you to Thanet Street, WC1 which is just off the Euston Road and runs parallel to Judd Street. You can expect to pay between £40 and £100 to reach the ILSC from one of the airports. From the local underground stations (King’s Cross/St Pancras, Russell Square, Euston) expect to pay about £7.

Walking from St Pancras International or Kings Cross stations Cross the road and turn left into Judd Street (O’Neills pub is on the corner). Then take the second right (Hastings Street) and first left (Thanet Street). We are half way along on the right hand side. The walk should take no more than 5 minutes.

Walking from Russell Square station Cross the road and walk straight ahead down Marchmont Street. Keep walking till you reach the traffic lights where Marchmont Street crosses Tavistock Place. Cross over and keep walking straight ahead. Turn right into Leigh Street and second left into Thanet Street. We are half way along on the left hand side. The walk should take no more than 5 minutes.

Oyster Oyster is a plastic smartcard which can hold pay as you go credit, Travelcards and Bus & Tram season tickets. You can use an Oyster card to travel on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and most National Rail services in London.  See for more details.  You can also use a contactless debit card to pay at the gates.

Arriving at the Centre

The Office is open from 08:30-17:00 weekdays and 08:30-11:30 on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. Please make every effort to arrive during office hours. If you will be arriving outside these times please contact us beforehand so that the Duty Officer knows to expect you. When the Office is closed, there will be a sign by the front door informing you of who to contact. Please note that arrival is by 10pm. If you think you can only arrive later you will need to check with us first. It may not be possible to admit you before the next morning.
